Job summary

Meadowbrook Respiratory & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. This RN role focuses on clinical leadership, staff development, and delivering high-quality resident care.

You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily operations, mentor staff, and ensure regulatory compliance across CMS and state surveys. A hands-on leader who drives quality outcomes is ideal for this role.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey process.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Experience in subacute, respiratory, or ventilator care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing with the daily management of the nursing department.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff on all shifts.
• Conduct clinical rounds and follow up on resident concerns.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, New Jersey Department of Health, and facility policies.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Assist with survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Coach, educate, and mentor nursing staff.
• Participate in hiring, orientation, evaluations, and corrective action.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to promote positive resident outcomes.
• Support infection prevention, admissions, and clinical operations.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and exceptional customer service.
