Windsor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Windsor, NC is seeking a capable Assistant Director of Nursing to lead the nursing team and ensure quality care around the clock.

You will assist the Director of Nursing with planning, policy updates, staffing, and regulatory compliance, and will supervise R.N.s, L.P.N.s, and CNAs while guiding staff performance.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Science, Nursing, or related field
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Current State License as Registered Nurse
• CPR Certified
• 2 years RN experience

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing (D.O.N) in planning, development, and operation of the Nursing Department, ensuring residents receive quality care 24 hours a day.
• Ensure the Nursing Department is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Develop, implement, and update department policy and procedures as needed or directed.
• Assist with staffing to ensure resident needs and regulatory requirements are met at all times.
• Participate in federal, state, and local agency annual surveys.
• Review deficiencies noted by government agencies during inspections and assist with implementing changes needed to correct deficiencies found.
• Complete annual performance reviews of all subordinate staff and provide guidance and education to staff regarding their performance.

Required Education and Experience

• Associates Degree in Science, Nursing, or related field
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Current State License as Registered Nurse
• C.P.R. Certified
• 2 years R.N. experience

Preferred Education and Experience

• 5 years R.N. experience
• Previous experience managing a Nursing department
