Job summary

Sunrise Residential Treatment Center in southern Utah is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join a trauma-informed team serving girls and boys ages 12–17 in an on-site setting located at 3585 S Camino Real, Washington, UT 84780. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm.

The role involves individual, family, and group therapy with a small caseload and evidence‑based approaches. Requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy, plus Utah licensure

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field.
• Utah licensure or eligibility for LCSW, LMFT, LCMHC or associate licenses (CSW, AMFT, ACMHC).
• 2+ years therapy experience; 1+ year in residential setting using relational/experiential modalities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small caseload (6 clients) with emphasis on family engagement and parent coaching.
• Facilitate Individual, Family, and Group Therapy using trauma‑informed modalities.
• Create comprehensive discharge plans with youth and families for continuity of care.
• Maintain clinical compliance with timely documentation and Master Treatment Plan standards.
• Deliver client-centered, culturally competent therapy tailored to adolescents and families.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and physicians for holistic treatment.

• Associate/Provisional: $65,000 - 70,000 per year
• Fully Licensed: $70,000 - 80,000 per year

We specialize in relational, experiential, and evidence-based care that addresses trauma, emotional regulation, and family systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small, intentional caseload (6 clients)to ensure deeply personalized, high-quality clinical care with a strong emphasis on family engagement and parent coaching.

• Facilitate Individual, Family, and Group Therapyusing trauma‑informed, evidence‑based, and systemic modalities to drive meaningful and lasting change.

• Create comprehensive discharge plansand review them collaboratively with youth and their families to ensure continuity of care.

• Maintain clinical compliancewith timely, accurate documentation and adherence to MTP (Master Treatment Plan) standards.

• Deliver a client‑centered, culturally competent therapeutic experience, tailoring interventions to the unique needs of each adolescent and family system.

• Evidence-Based Practice:Apply proven modalities like DBT, TF-CBT, ACT, Smart Recovery, and Seeking Safety to support client progress.
• Collaborative Approach:Partner with a multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists and physicians—for holistic treatment.

Qualifications

• Educational Requirement:Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or a related behavioral science field.
• Licensure:Preferred—fully licensed (LCSW, LMFT, LCMHC); accepted—associate licensure (CSW, AMFT, ACMHC).
• Therapeutic Expertise:Passion for facilitating growth through individual, family, and group therapy using a collaborative, team-based approach.
• Clinical Experience:Preferred—2+ years of therapy experience and 1+ year in a residential setting using relational and experiential modalities.
• Treatment Planning:Skilled in developing, implementing, and adjusting treatment plans tailored to client needs.
• Credentialing Ready:Must have or be willing to establish a CAQH profile and obtain an NPI number.
• Compliance:Must pass a state background check and adhere to clinical and ethical standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s degree inSocial Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
• ActiveUtah licensureor eligibility for one of the following:
  • Associate/Provisional Licenses: CSW, AMFT, ACMHC
  • Fully Licensed Clinicians: LCSW, LMFT, LCMHC

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in an IOP, PHP, IP, Residential treatment setting, or similar higher level of care.
• Background usingrelational, experiential, systemic, or trauma‑informed models(e.g., DBT, CBT, ACT, family systems therapy).
• A passion forworking with adolescents, young adults, and familiesnavigating emotional and behavioral challenges.
• Willingness to obtain aCAQH profileandNPIduring onboarding.
