Job summary

Sunrise Residential Treatment Center in Utah is hiring Behavioral Health Associates to support adolescent boys and girls (ages 12–17). You’ll provide hands-on support with daily routines, emotional regulation, life skills, safety, and structured programming, working alongside therapists and nurses to ensure treatment goals are met.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age or older
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
• Able to pass criminal investigation background check
• Current driver’s license
• Ability to learn CPR and First-Aid.

Responsibilities

• Daily routines: Support students in following structured schedules and activities with encouragement and accountability.
• Crisis intervention: Use verbal de-escalation techniques to manage emotional or behavioral escalations; apply approved physical interventions when clinically necessary to ensure safety.
• Crisis prevention: Apply proactive strategies to reduce risk and provide crisis management when necessary.
• Treatment alignment: Ensure student progress aligns with individualized treatment plans developed by therapists.
• Positive modeling: Model constructive behaviors and attitudes, reinforcing a healthy environment for clients.
• Documentation: Maintain consistent, thorough records of client interactions, incidents, and progress.
• Team engagement: Participate in staff and house bonding activities to foster teamwork and community cohesion.
• Housekeeping tasks: Perform light daily tasks to maintain a clean, organized living space.
