Job summary

Avery's House in Mesa, AZ, seeks an Adolescent Therapist to provide individual and group therapy for teens in our residential program. You will develop treatment plans, maintain records, and coordinate care to support client wellness.

The role requires an AZ licensure, a Master's in counseling/social work, and at least one year of relevant experience. Teletherapy is available when appropriate; this is a full-time W-2 position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current mental health licensure in Arizona with the AZBBHE.
• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
• One year of experience in counseling and case management with mental health and substance abuse clients.
• Knowledge of software programs for personal computer use, including word processing, video conferencing, email, and spreadsheets.
• Demonstrated competence with cultural differences and diversity.
• Knowledge of medications commonly prescribed for mental health disorders, common side effects, and adverse reactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support services, including individual and group therapy.
• Conduct assessments or screenings to develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Maintain client records and complete all required paperwork, including progress notes, event notifications, and discharge plans.
• Facilitate coordination of care and crisis management.
• Communicate effectively with the treatment team and maintain a safe and efficient treatment environment.
• Provide services via teletherapy when determined appropriate for clients.
• Maintain ethical and professional standards, including the confidentiality of all client data (HIPAA).

• Tuesday - Saturday 9am - 5pm
• Required on call rotation once every 5 weeks
