Avery's House in Arizona is seeking an Adolescent Therapist to join our behavioral health team. The role focuses on providing direct counseling to teens in a residential setting, with a schedule Sunday through Thursday, 9am–5pm, and on-call rotation every five weeks.

The clinician will conduct individual, family, and group therapy, complete assessments, maintain records, and coordinate care while ensuring HIPAA compliance and a safe treatment environment.

Qualificações

• Must hold current AZ license with AZBBHE.
• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year counseling and case management experience with mental health/substance abuse clients.
• Proficiency with standard PC software: word processing, video conferencing, email, spreadsheets.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse populations.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct services: individual, family, and group therapy.
• Conduct assessments or screenings to inform treatment plans.
• Maintain client records and complete required paperwork (progress notes, event notifications, discharge plans).
• Coordinate care and manage crises as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the treatment team and maintain a safe environment.
• Provide teletherapy when appropriate.
• Uphold HIPAA and professional confidentiality standards.

As part of our clinical team, you'll be instrumental in supporting our residential program and helping clients achieve wellness. Adolescent Therapist Qualifications:

• Current mental health licensure in Arizona with the AZBBHE. (required)
• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field. (required)
• One year of experience in counseling and case management with mental health and substance abuse clients. (required)
• Knowledge of software programs for personal computer use, including word processing, video conferencing, email, and spreadsheets.
• Demonstrated competence with cultural differences and diversity.
• Knowledge of medications commonly prescribed for mental health disorders, common side effects, and adverse reactions.

Adolescent Therapist Expectations:

• Provide direct support services, including individual, family therapy and group therapy.
• Conduct assessments or screenings to develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Maintain client records and complete all required paperwork, including progress notes, event notifications, and discharge plans.
• Facilitate coordination of care and crisis management.
• Communicate effectively with the treatment team and maintain a safe and efficient treatment environment.
• Provide services via teletherapy when determined appropriate for clients.
• Maintain ethical and professional standards, including the confidentiality of all client data (HIPAA).
