Job summary

Avery's House in Arizona provides behavioral health services to teens and seeks an Adolescent Therapist to support our residential program. You will deliver individual, family, and group therapy, conduct assessments, and help develop treatment plans while ensuring documentation and confidentiality.

This full-time, W-2 position offers competitive pay at $70,000 annually, paid time off, benefits, and opportunities for supervision and mentorship within a supportive clinical team.

Qualifications

• AZ licensure with AZBBHE is required.
• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or related field.
• Minimum one year of counseling and case management with MH and substance use clients.
• Proficiency with common software (word processing, video conferencing, email, spreadsheets).
• Cultural competence and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications, side effects, and adverse reactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy.
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Maintain client records and documentation.
• Coordinate care and crisis management.
• Communicate with treatment team and maintain safe environment.
• Provide teletherapy when appropriate.
• Uphold HIPAA and client confidentiality.

Avery's House provides behavioral health services to teens across the valley. As part of our clinical team, you'll be instrumental in supporting our residential program and helping clients achieve wellness. We are committed to maintaining a safe and efficient working and treatment environment for both our clients and our team.

Adolescent Therapist Qualifications:

• Current mental health licensure in Arizona with the AZBBHE. (required)
• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field. (required)
• One year of experience in counseling and case management with mental health and substance abuse clients. (required)
• Knowledge of software programs for personal computer use, including word processing, video conferencing, email, and spreadsheets.
• Demonstrated competence with cultural differences and diversity.
• Knowledge of medications commonly prescribed for mental health disorders, common side effects, and adverse reactions.

Adolescent Therapist Expectations:

• Provide direct support services, including individual, family therapy and group therapy.
• Conduct assessments or screenings to develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Maintain client records and complete all required paperwork, including progress notes, event notifications, and discharge plans.
• Facilitate coordination of care and crisis management.
• Communicate effectively with the treatment team and maintain a safe and efficient treatment environment.
• Provide services via teletherapy when determined appropriate for clients.
• Maintain ethical and professional standards, including the confidentiality of all client data (HIPAA).

SCHEDULE

• Sunday to Thursday, 9am - 5pm
• Required on call rotation once every 5 weeks
