Job summary

Outreach Development Corporation is seeking a Counselor at our Brentwood, NY location to deliver and implement long-term supervision, support, and clinical services for chemically dependent adolescents with co-occurring mental health issues. Qualifications

• Initial and ongoing screening of resident and resident property.
• Supervise clients in self-medication under supervision.
• Complete assessments, intakes, and determine level of care based on data gathered.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling in a professional, ethical manner.
• Manage all aspects of assigned caseload during treatment with appropriate clinical interventions.
• Complete all required documentation and reports in a timely manner.
• Maintain relationships with referents and collateral contacts (Probation, Parole, CPS, managed care, E.A.P.’s, courts).
• Communicate all pertinent information and incidents using the appropriate system (SAC communications, incident reports).
• Provide supervision of client population and facilitate daily house schedule and service groups.
• Conduct toxicology testing as needed.
• Ensure Medicaid compliance and report non-compliance to the supervisor.
