Job summary

Compass Intervention Center in Memphis, TN is seeking a Stepdown Navigator to serve as the primary liaison between the hospital and external agencies. This role involves developing individualized transition plans and working closely with the clinical team to evaluate adolescents for step‑down care.

The ideal candidate will possess a master's degree in a behavioral health field, communication skills, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health setting. The position offers a challenging work environment and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related behavioral health field required.
• Licensure or license‑eligible (e.g., LPC, LMSW, LMFT, etc.) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with adolescents in a mental health or behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between the hospital, providers, families, and agencies.
• Develop individualized transition plans that align with clinical recommendations.
• Ensure clinical documentation, referrals, and authorizations are completed timely.
