Join to apply for the ADOLESCENT RESIDENTIAL COUNSELOR - PRN role at Skyland Trail

Skyland Trail, a nonprofit mental health residential treatment program for adults and adolescents in Atlanta, is seeking an Adolescent Residential Counselor PRN.

Scope: To provide supervision, education, training, and various support services to clients and clinical staff of the Adolescent Program.

Duties include:

  1. Providing clinical, residential, program support, and supervision to clients.
  2. Monitoring and documenting client behavior, location, progress, and communicating needs to the clinical team.
  3. Completing shift change summaries and documenting pertinent information.
  4. Assessing activities of daily living and supporting clients in daily activities and social skills.
  5. Completing incident reports and ensuring room and personal belongings are maintained safely and neatly.
  6. Transporting and supervising clients during off-campus activities, ensuring safety and vehicle maintenance.
  7. Conducting residential groups, facilitating client activities, and supporting community meetings.
  8. Co-facilitating therapy sessions and ensuring safety procedures are followed.
  9. Maintaining facility standards and supplies, and assisting in crisis situations.
  10. Providing excellent customer service and completing related training annually.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or two years of clinical experience.
  • Preferred: Master's degree and licensure or licensure-eligible status.

This position is PRN and not eligible for benefits.
