Job summary

Suncoast Behavioral Health Center is hiring a Mental Health Technician to provide direct patient care in a residential setting for adolescents aged 11–17. You will supervise patients in treatment, recreation, and educational activities, ensuring safety and applying least restrictive interventions when needed.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to facility policies, and maintaining therapeutic boundaries to support patient progress and safety.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in psychology or related field (increase in wages).
• Preferred six months’ experience in residential psychiatry or similar childcare facility experience.
• Must pass Level 2 background screening and pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in a residential behavioral health setting.
• Supervise patients in treatment, recreation, and educational settings; monitor daily living activities.
