Job summary

Suncoast Behavioral Health Center is seeking a Mental Health Technician to provide direct patient care in a residential behavioral health setting for adolescents. You will supervise patients across treatment, recreation, and educational activities while prioritizing safety and following least restrictive intervention policies.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED; a bachelor’s in psychology or related field is preferred, along with six months of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in psychology or related field.
• Preferred six months’ experience in residential psychiatry or similar setting.
• Must pass Level 2 Background Screening and Pre-employment Drug Test.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care duties in a residential behavioral health setting.
• Supervise patients in treatment, recreation, educational settings, and daily activities.
• Ensure patient safety and apply least restrictive interventions when needed.
