Job summary

Telecare Corporation is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapist at Willow Rock, a 16-bed Psychiatric Health Facility in Alameda County for youths aged 12-17. Under supervision, you will provide rehabilitation therapy services to members both individually and in groups.

The position offers On-Call shifts with hours varying; starting wage is $23.00 per hour and is subject to geographic pay differentials. Preferred candidates hold an MA/MS in related therapy areas and have CPI/CPR certifications.

Qualifications

• Required: B.S./B.A. in Occupational, Recreational, Music, Dance, Drama or Art Therapy, Vocational Counseling or related field; must meet regulatory requirements for titles.
• Six (6) months of experience in behavioral health setting.
• Discipline certification or licensure may be required per program licensure or accrediting body requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• CPR, CPI, and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days; maintain current certification."
• All incumbent Telecare requirements: post-offer medical, background checks, driving clearance if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide rehabilitation treatment services for assigned members; lead and co-lead therapeutic groups.
• Develop therapeutic activities and write group descriptions; schedule activities with members.
• Coordinate outings and supervise; may drive a van.
• Facilitate community meetings and groups; supervise interns and volunteers as directed.
• Participate in planning for Rehabilitation Program and Recovery Plans; complete required assessments and documentation.
