Aster Springs in Glen Allen, VA is seeking a part-time Recovery Care Specialist to support adolescents through recovery. The role runs 6:30 am–2:30 pm, working closely with the clinical team to maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu and document care in client records.

The position emphasizes active engagement in activities, adherence to safety procedures, and providing compassionate supervision and guidance to clients and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, preferably with clients with eating disorders.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collaborates with clinical team to determine/select appropriate interventions based on the needs of individual clients.
• Actively participates and engages clients in the milieu and outside activities throughout the workday, often in a variety of group settings.
• Encourages clients to perform ADLs, including cleaning rooms, maintaining hygiene, and doing laundry.
• Prompts clients to attend all meals in a timely manner and provides supervision at mealtimes.
• Models effective table manners and small talk during meals, engaging all clients.
• Provides, structures, and maintains a therapeutic environment in collaboration with other staff.
• Therapeutically interacts with clients in one-to-one and group settings, maintaining boundaries.
• Transports clients to appointments and supports client regulation in community.
