Job summary

The Mayo Clinic in Minnesota seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Generose 1W Child & Adolescent Psychiatry unit. This closed unit cares for patients aged 2–18 in a short-term crisis intervention model, supported by a multidisciplinary team.

The RN coordinates nursing care, provides patient/family education, and facilitates transitions of care. Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• One year of professional RN experience is required.
• Current RN license; BLS valid for 90 days post start date.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends and on-call.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and patient/family education.
• Support transitions of care and care planning.
• Demonstrate leadership and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
