Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota seeks a registered nurse to coordinate comprehensive patient care for pediatric and adolescent patients in a closed, crisis intervention setting. The RN will lead care coordination, patient/family education, and transitions of care, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a structured environment.

Requirements include an active RN license, a BSN within five years for certain hires, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program recognized by ACEN, CCNE, NLN CNEA.
• One year of professional RN experience is required.
• All entry-level RNs with a start date after April 1, 2020 must provide evidence of BSN within five years of hire.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• BLS certification must be valid for 90 days post start date.
• Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
• Provide leadership and participate in professional practice development.
• Mentor and precept as part of the Nursing Professional Practice Model.
• Adapt to flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends; participate in on-call as needed.
