Job summary

Red River Youth Academy in Norman, Oklahoma is seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric and medical care for adolescents in our residential program. Under Medical Director supervision, you will perform evaluations, history and physicals, and follow-up care to support both physical and mental health.

The role emphasizes continuity from intake to discharge, collaboration with therapists and physicians, and strict documentation in EMRs.

Qualifications

• MSN/APRN or equivalent; Oklahoma licensure required.
• Experience with adolescent psychiatric care preferred.
• At least 1 year in residential or outpatient settings desired.
• Familiarity with Joint Commission standards, EMRs, patient confidentiality laws, and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and history/physical assessments for adolescents.
• Provide follow-up care and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with Medical Director to review treatment plans and program integrity.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records.
• Work with therapists, physicians, and allied staff to ensure coordinated care.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and regulatory standards are followed.
• Support compliance with state, federal, and JCAHO regulations.
