Job summary

The Psychiatric Institute in Washington, DC seeks an Outpatient Adolescent Therapist to provide individual, family and group psychotherapy for adolescents in a dynamic behavioral health program. The role requires DC licensure and at least five years of experience in outpatient or partial hospital settings, with a track record in adolescent care.

Qualifications

• Licensure in Social Work or Psychology required.
• DC Licensure in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline required.
• Minimum five years of direct clinical services experience in behavioral health, with adolescents preferred.
• Experience in individual, group and systems psychotherapy and clinical case management.
• Demonstrated experience with adolescent populations.
• Experience in outpatient and partial hospital work.
• Knowledge of hospital systems and third-party payers is a plus.
• Pre-employment verifications, background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, family and group psychotherapy for selected outpatient adolescent patients and serves as liaison/consultant with referring clinicians.
• Participates in training and research activities and contributes to program development.
