Job summary

Three Rivers Midlands is seeking a dynamic & talented Per Diem Mental Health Technician (1st Shift) to support residential and clinical treatment teams for adolescents aged 11-18 with a range of psychiatric issues and related behaviors. This per diem role supports master treatment plans and daily activities within a behavioral health facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of direct care experience working with adolescents and children in a Residential Treatment Facility, educational or juvenile setting.
• Requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess knowledge of therapeutic relationships, therapeutic processes, adolescent growth and development, limit-setting and behavior management.
• Valid SC Driver's License preferred.

Responsibilities

• The MHT works closely with all members of the residential and clinical treatment team and ensures that the resident program schedule and resident master treatment plan are carried out as planned by the Team.
• Assists nurses in the psychiatric and physical treatment and care of residents in accordance with established methods and procedures.
• Interacts with residents in a therapeutic manner at all times and assists other staff to maintain appropriate boundaries.
• Performs various duties to support the treatment day and resident activities.
