Job summary

Universal Health Services operates Three Rivers Behavioral Health, a 136-bed facility in West Columbia, SC, providing inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs for adolescents and adults. The Mental Health Technician supports the clinical team and helps ensure the patient schedule runs smoothly.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience in healthcare or behavioral health related field in lieu of Associates or Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu for patients and support the clinical treatment team.
• Assist nurses in psychiatric and physical care according to hospital procedures.
• Engage with patients in a therapeutic manner and help maintain boundaries throughout treatment.
