Job summary

AltaPointe Health Systems is seeking a dedicated mental health worker to monitor consumers, engage them in planned activities, and document observations in a timely manner. The role involves assisting with personal care, coordinating with nursing and therapy staff, and leading program groups to support treatment goals.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with a preferred bachelor’s degree in a mental health field or social work. Training in child/adolescent care will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a mental health discipline or Social Work preferred.
• Knowledge of child/adolescent development and crisis intervention to be attained within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing monitoring of consumers and completes documentation related to monitoring/observations appropriately and in a timely manner in accordance with MD orders.
• Engages consumers to ensure their safety, needs are met, and participation in planned activities.
• Assists with personal hygiene, medical appointments, chores, recreation, and safety issues.
• Leads program groups and activities to actively engage consumers in treatment.
• Documents in a timely fashion per AltaPointe Policy.
• Seeks clinical supervision and consultation as needed.
