Job summary

Hillcrest Adolescent Treatment Center in California is seeking a Behavioral Technician to join our weekend team. You will provide basic support for client care to help ensure successful rehabilitation, working under the supervision of our therapists.

The position is part-time, Saturdays and Sundays 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, paying $21–$24 per hour with benefits such as free meals, coffee and snacks. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year in social services, a desire to work with

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in the social services field.
• A genuine desire to work with adolescents.
• Working knowledge of substance abuse, mental health disorders, and treatment procedures for such illnesses.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Must have a valid California driver's license and the ability to pass and maintain a clean driving record check (MVR) in accordance with our company standards.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Internet, email, and MS Word.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic support regarding the care of the clients to ensure they have what they need for successful rehabilitation.
• Interact directly with the clients, providing supervision and support.
• If you work on weekdays, you'll also interact with therapists and other teammates. If you work on weekends, you'll accompany the clients on outings, from hiking and beach-going to visits to Disneyland, Universal Studios and other attractions.
