Job summary

Hillcrest Adolescent Treatment Center in Agoura Hills is seeking a part-time role for individuals with experience in adolescent mental health. The position involves supervising clients in a resort-like setting and building rapport.

You will interact with therapists and fellow staff on weekends, occasionally accompanying clients on outings to local attractions. The role offers flexible part-time hours and competitive hourly pay, along with free meals, coffee, and snacks.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in the social services field.
• A genuine desire to work with adolescents.
• Working knowledge of substance abuse, mental health disorders, and treatment procedures for such illnesses.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Must have a valid California driver's license and the ability to pass and maintain a clean driving record check (MVR) in accordance with our company standards.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Internet, email, and MS Word.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with the clients, providing supervision and support.
• If you work on weekdays, you'll also interact with therapists and other teammates.
• If you work on weekends, you'll accompany the clients on outings, from hiking and beach-going to visits to Disneyland, Universal Studios and other attractions.
• Reporting to the Program Director, you will provide basic support regarding the care of the clients to ensure they have what they need for successful rehabilitation.

The hours for this role are Sat and Sun from 5:45 pm to 2:15 pm. This hourly position starts at $22 to $25 per hour based upon your experience and education.

Additional compensation will be considered for the following:

• Bachelor's degree or above
• Mental health-related certifications
• 3+ years of residential mental health experience
