Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System is hiring for a Behavioral Health Technician in the Central Harnett Hospital Adolescent Psychiatry Unit in Lillington, NC. You will perform routine patient care, monitor conditions, assist with activities of daily living, and support emotional well-being under nurse direction.

In this role, you will help maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, participate in rounds, and contribute to education and performance improvement initiatives within a behavioral health

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates or Bachelors in Psychology/Social Work preferred.
• Nursing Assistant certification accepted.
• BLS from the American Heart Association required.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care, observation, vital signs, and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, andDischarges, including vital signs and securing belongings.
• Monitor patients and document intake/output and vitals.
• Assist with holds, restraints, and seclusion under training.
• Engage patients in activities to support therapy and safety.
