Job summary

Embark at Hurricane – Stabilization and Assessment is hiring Behavioral Health Associates to support adolescent boys in a residential setting. You will help with daily routines, emotional regulation, life skills, safety, and structured programming alongside therapists and nurses to meet treatment goals.

Qualifications

• High‑acuity response: Comfortable managing verbal/physical outbursts and emotional dysregulation in a residential setting.
• Emotional regulation: Ability to stay composed, set healthy boundaries.
• Growth mindset: Willingness to learn and grow, even without direct experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily routines: Support students in following structured schedules and activities with encouragement and accountability.
• Crisis intervention: Use verbal de‑escalation techniques to manage escalations; apply approved holds/restraints when necessary to ensure safety.
• Crisis prevention: Apply proactive strategies to reduce risk and provide crisis management.
• Treatment alignment: Ensure student progress aligns with individualized treatment plans developed by therapists.
• Positive modeling: Model constructive behaviors and attitudes, fostering a healthy living environment.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough records of client interactions, incidents, and progress.
• Team engagement: Participate in staff and house bonding activities to strengthen teamwork.
• Housekeeping tasks: Perform light daily tasks to maintain a clean living space.
