Job summary

Massachusetts Institute of Technology is seeking an Applications Systems Analyst II for Admissions to lead the technical architecture of Slate and related systems, designing and maintaining scalable database structures and serving as a key project lead.

You will coordinate with admissions teams, develop documentation of IT business processes, provide desktop and technology support, and manage multiple time-sensitive projects with attention to data security and integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience in CRM database management.
• Proficiency in SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Python; ability to hand-write queries.
• Experience with project management and balancing multiple time-sensitive projects.
• Knowledge of data security and integrity; comfort working with Macintosh systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical specialist and database architect for Admissions systems, especially Slate.
• Oversee IT system design, maintenance, and long-term strategy.
• Serve as liaison between admissions teams and IT staff; develop documentation.
• Provide desktop and technology support to Admissions staff.
