Volunteers of America Northern Rockies is seeking an Admissions Specialist to provide admissions oversight to residential facilities and recovery homes in Sheridan and Cheyenne. The role ensures census targets are met and supports patients and treatment staff while building relationships with referral sources and community partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years experience in customer service, human services, or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite and databases.
• Ability to manage admissions processes and related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage the admissions process for residential treatment and recovery home admissions in Sheridan & Cheyenne.
• Arrange transportation for patient admissions and discharges with referral sources.
• Communicate patient information with the Treatment Team.
• Ensure incoming patients complete all necessary documentation.
• Assist patients in applying for Medicaid/Behavioral Health coverage and enrolling in Medical insurance via Health Market Place.
• Collaborate with billing regarding benefit assignments.
• Enter data in Electronic Health Record systems.
• Assist patients with discharge ASI and related documentation.
• Provide program information to internal/external inquiries.
• Maintain waitlists for residential treatment and recovery homes.
• Answer phone calls and greet visitors.
• Serve as backup coverage for Behavioral Health Technicians.
