Job summary

Southern HealthCare Management is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to support the Social Services/Admissions Departments through pre-admission, admission, and discharge activities. This role partners with the Director of Admissions to ensure smooth transitions and accurate documentation, including room assignments and contracts.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong medical terminology knowledge, and proficient PC skills, with 1+ year healthcare education/marketing/insurance

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years experience in health care education/ marketing / insurance or commensurate education preferred.
• Must be familiar with medical terminology.
• Proficient in the use of personal computer.

Responsibilities

• Supports pre-admission, admission and discharge processes.
• Back-up to Director of Admissions; coordinates referrals and assessments.
• Conducts facility tours for potential residents and families.
• Ensures timely completion of admission agreements and contracts.
• Maintains confidentiality and compliance with policies and laws.
