Job summary

Rebound Behavioral Health, part of Acadia Healthcare, seeks an Admissions RN for FT night shifts to manage admissions efficiently and collaboratively. You will review documentation, verify benefits, and coordinate with physicians to ensure timely admissions in a mental health hospital setting.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, adherence to procedures, and seamless communication with referrals, physicians, and care teams within a 63-bed inpatient/outpatient framework.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate's degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of one year of clinical or observational experience in a related setting.

Responsibilities

• Review medical documentation for admissions, complete medication reconciliation, and obtain admission orders from physicians.
• Facilitate emergency transfers for patients when needed.
• Review referrals from hospitals, facilities, and community agencies, assessing medical and behavioral acuity.
• Respond to inquiries about the facility and provide information.
• Conduct assessments to determine the appropriate level of care.
• Collaborate with medical and psychiatric personnel to ensure appropriate admissions.
• Facilitate the admissions process, including assessment, consent, and inventory of patient belongings.
• Perform insurance benefit verifications and secure initial pre-authorization for treatment and admission.
• Monitor patient status throughout the admissions process and follow facility policies.
