Job summary

Avamere Transitional Care of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA is seeking an RN Admissions Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care, assess residents, administer medications, monitor health, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.

The role includes supervising licensed staff, maintaining detailed documentation, and participating in quality improvement efforts. Wage is $50–$60/hour depending on experience. This is an on-site opportunity at 630 S Pearl St, Tacoma.

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current, active RN license in the state. BSN preferred.
• Must maintain CPR/BLS during employment.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric rehab is preferred.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents and develop individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs and health status; report changes to physicians.
• Supervise and train LPNs and CNAs; provide orientation for new staff.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and coordinate with families and professionals.
