The Valley Health System in Southern Nevada is seeking a detailed-oriented Registration Clerk to greet and register incoming patients and their representatives, ensuring accurate admission details while upholding confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.

The role supports the efficient delivery of healthcare services and may require bilingual interpretation in some positions. A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred, with at least two years in a hospital registration setting.

Qualifications

Job Description:

Responsible for greeting and registering all incoming patients and their representatives; ensuring necessary information required for admission is accurately recorded and processed while maintaining confidentiality within HIPPA guidelines.

Plays a pivotal role in the operational efficiency of healthcare services delivery. This position requires individuals who are detail oriented, adaptable and equipped with the necessary experience and skills to handle the demands of the dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

Education:

High School or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of two years hands-on experience in a hospital registration setting or Urgent Care preferred. Possess a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies involved in patient admission.

Technical Skills:

Computer proficiency includes word processing and patient accounting system. HIPPA and PCI Compliance required. Insurance knowledge preferred.

License/Certification:

None

Other:

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patient. Some positions may require accurate interpretation and translation in a bilingual targeted language.
