Responsibilities

The Admissions Recruitment Specialist 2 is a recruitment and admissions professional within the Office of Student Affairs at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine. Responsibilities include:

• Conducting recruitment activities to promote the medical school program, including outreach to prospective students and advocacy of school resources.
• Providing substantive information on student programs to applicants, colleagues, and the broader institution.
• Evaluating applications for admission and making determinations using established guidelines.
• Managing the application review process and ensuring timely communication with candidates.
• Collaborating with the admissions team to maintain accurate applicant records.
• Participating in continuing education and professional development related to admissions and recruitment best practices.

This position may offer a hybrid work schedule with three days onsite and two days remote. Occasionally additional campus presence may be required depending on workload.

Qualifications

• Current work authorization to accept a UCR staff position. The University is unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of an employment visa.
• Experience in recruitment and/or admissions within an academic setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Compensation

The full salary range for this position is $56,000 to $96,400 annually. The expected pay scale for this role is up to $76,200 annually, based on a combination of education, licensure, certifications, experience and organizational needs.
