Qualifications

• Ability to articulate Christian commitment
• Attention to detail and organization; able to manage multiple priorities
• Pleasant and responsive to student needs
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to speak to groups of varying sizes
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word; plus telephone, fax, and printer
• Ability to lift and carry weights of 30 pounds
• Commitment to higher education at a Christian University and to communicating the University’s mission
• Valid driver’s license with ability to pass a background check
• Ability to work evenings and weekends and to travel frequently in fall and spring semesters
• Experience in higher education, business, sales, or healthcare is a plus

Responsibilities

• Territory manager for assigned states and programs; cultivate relationships with prospective students and families
• Develop goals and strategies; oversee territory; plan travel and visits
• Present university programs, features, and benefits; visit homes, schools, and churches
• Communicate regularly with prospective students and families via phone, email, text, and mail throughout recruitment cycle
• Plan, coordinate, and attend events such as planning days, college fairs, youth rallies, sports events, and church meetings within the territory
• Partner with Admissions by participating in planning/strategy sessions and university meetings; participate in special projects
• Coordinate with Student Services to understand housing, immunization, and deadlines while relaying information
• Coordinate with Financial Aid to explain scholarships and aid processes; relay accurate information
• Promote and articulate the Christian mission of the University to churches and related groups
