Job summary

South University is seeking an Admissions Representative to recruit qualified applicants for admission consistent with accreditation policies and ethical standards. The role manages inquiries, schedules interviews, and pursues enrollment while collaborating with Student Support Services to ensure successful matriculation.

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with 1 year admissions or sales experience, or an associate’s with 3 years.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with faculty and students.
• Superior organizational and problem-resolution skills.
• Ethical and goal-oriented professional.
• Ability to work with multiple departments and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Explain educational programs, outcomes, student services, and financial considerations to students, parents, and educators.
• Manage inquiries to achieve prompt contact and weekly goals; redirect unqualified candidates.
• Secure new inquiries through referrals from phone and in-person contacts.
• Schedule and conduct interviews, pursue qualified candidates for enrollment, assess fit.
• Forecast projected new students for admissions leadership.
• Maintain monthly follow-ups with applicants to ensure matriculation.
• Support data collection and problem-solving with other departments.
• Participate in recruitment activities such as open houses and community outreach.
• Other duties as assigned.
