Job summary

The Emily Program is seeking an Admissions Manager to lead the AC team and manage admissions operations for active and prospective clients in Durham, NC. This on-site role focuses on compassionate, efficient access to care and cross-functional collaboration with clinical, utilization, and operations teams.

The position requires 3–5+ years in healthcare admissions and strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred.
• 3–5+ years in healthcare admissions or related healthcare operations.
• Leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Experience in behavioral health or high-volume admissions environments preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare privacy standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily admissions operations and ensure timely, compassionate movement of clients through the admissions process.
• Coach, supervise, and develop Admissions Coordinators and staff.
• Monitor census, inquiries, and conversion metrics; manage workflow and performance.
• Collaborate across clinical and operational teams to ensure access to care.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and documentation standards.
