The role supports a busy Business Development Team, coordinating with various departments to ensure a smooth admission process and patient readiness.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a hospital, physician practice or insurance environment.
• Knowledge of Medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Manage referral intake and admission of all patients as a member of the Business Development Team.
• Stay in close communication with departments to prepare for admission day.
• Lead morning conversion calls with the Business Development team.
• Verify Medicare benefits and secondary insurance plans for referred patients.
• Enter accurate referral, admission, denial and conversion data in online systems.
• Coordinate with clinical liaisons, case managers, prior authorization and physicians for admission.
• Ensure equipment, medications and necessities are ready in the patient’s room.
• Physically admit the patient, provide a facility tour and obtain consent to treat forms.
