Job summary

AA Healthcare Management in Milwaukee seeks an Admissions Director to oversee new admissions in line with policy and maintain relations with residents, families and staff.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of Admissions Director experience in a Skilled Nursing facility, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a patient, cheerful demeanor when interacting with residents, staff, and visitors. This is a full-time position.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as Admissions Director in a Skilled Nursing facility.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm with residents, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Develop, schedule and guide tours/personnel throughout the facility.
• Keep a supply of brochures and other printed materials.
• Manage resident admission orientation program in accordance with policies.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents per policies and procedures.
• Provide residents with admission information packet (e.g., resident rights, privacy notices, contracts).
• Maintain an accurate record of bed availability and census.
• Abstract information for insurance purposes.
• Notify nursing when resident arrives to escort to room.
• Provide administrative support and maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Maintain liaison with families, residents and community.
• Plan and implement events to enhance staff, resident and community relations.
• Attend and participate in workshops as approved.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
