Job summary

SNF Hires is seeking an Admissions Director to lead the admissions process for a reputable Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Tennessee. You will coordinate referrals, manage insurance verifications and authorizations, and guide prospective residents and families through the admission experience.

The role requires experience in skilled nursing admissions, Medicare/Medicaid knowledge, and strong customer service skills to maintain census and ensure a seamless transition for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience as Admissions Director or similar role in healthcare.
• Experience with skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care admissions.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and prior authorization processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Detail-oriented with a resident-focused approach.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Manage the admissions process from referral through admission.
• Respond quickly to referrals from hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, physicians, families, and partners.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Coordinate room assignments based on clinical needs and bed availability.
• Maintain accurate admission records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Build relationships with referral sources to support census goals.
• Provide outstanding customer service throughout admissions and transition.
