Company Summary:

Crossroads is an Arizona Department of Health Services licensed substance abuse treatment provider with proven expertise in serving men, women and Veterans with Substance Use Disorder through the provision of high quality, successful, and affordable residential and outpatient recovery programs.

Due to federal contracts the following items are prohibited: Medical/Recreational marijuana, current parole or probation.

Job Summary:

The Admissions Director manages the referral and admission activities of the Admissions Department towards the goal of maintaining full capacity at all Crossroads facilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains employees.
  • Supporting growth and development of intake coordinators and department employees
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the site.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Recommends compensation adjustments.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Involved with handling employee relation issues.
  • Timecard responsibilities.
  • PTO management.
Essential Functions:
  • Maintains resident occupancy of 90% and above.
  • Oversees admissions process from initial call to facility placement including program eligibility determination, appropriate facility placement, funding sources, and coordination with facility staff.
  • Manages and maintains relationships with federal and state agencies such as Department of Economic Security, Federal Probation, Federal Pre-trial services and Maricopa County of Adult Probation.
  • Oversees and responsible for resident, family, and/or referring agency liaison and to ensure a positive experience and create confidence in Crossroads.
  • Creates and maintains strong, positive, and trusting relationships with referring agencies, coworkers, and the surrounding community.
  • Oversees and establishes department operational goals.
  • Oversees intake process including assessment and initial admissions paperwork in electronic medical record system and manually, as required.
  • Data tracking and reporting to executive management.
  • Performs unexpected duties to support department/company as required.
  • Perform other duties, as required.
Qualifications:
  • Must meet Arizona Department of Health Services personnel member requirements of: at least 21 years old; or licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32 and providing services within the personnel member's scope of practice.
  • Current CPR/First Aid/Narcan training.
  • Current and annual negative TB Test.
  • Current and valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check performed annually and upon hire, preferred.
  • Successfully pass a background check and an Arizona Department of Health Services Adult Protective Services check.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of program guidelines and requirements.
  • Working knowledge of 12-step programs preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have a working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems (EMR).
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and data entry skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Education & Experience:
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ year’s related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment:
  • Fast paced behavioral health office setting.
  • Primarily indoors, however, some outdoor
    work may be requested.
Physical Demands:
  • While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit and speak or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and seldom lift and/or move >100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Shift Requirements:
  • Days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Travel:
  • Valid AZ Driver’s License.
  • Travel between sites and other locations.
  • Local and statewide travel when requested or required.
