Job summary

Green Hills Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking an experienced Admissions Director to lead our admissions process and support census growth initiatives. The role requires building strong relationships with referral sources, residents, families, and the care team to ensure a seamless admission experience.

You will oversee the entire admissions workflow, educate stakeholders about services, monitor census, and collaborate with Marketing to expand referrals, while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in admissions, business development, marketing, or case management in healthcare.
• Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance authorization.
• Knowledge of post-acute care continuum and discharge planning.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Experience with EMR and admissions software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the admissions process from referral to admission.
• Build relationships with hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, physicians.
• Coordinate with clinical and operational teams to evaluate referrals and admit timely.
• Educate residents and families on services and admission process.
• Monitor daily census and support occupancy goals.
• Collaborate with Marketing/BD to identify new referral opportunities.
• Maintain accurate admission records and documentation.
• Verify insurance coverage and coordinate with payers.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Participate in community outreach and represent the facility professionally.

Now Hiring: Admissions Director

Green Hills Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking an experienced, results-driven Admissions Director to lead our admissions process and support census growth initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the post-acute care continuum, exceptional relationship-building skills, and experience working in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or healthcare setting.

As the Admissions Director, you will serve as a key liaison between referral sources, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure a seamless admission experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the admissions process from referral through admission.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, physicians, and community partners.

• Coordinate with clinical and operational teams to evaluate referrals and facilitate timely admissions.

• Educate prospective residents and families on facility services, programs, and the admission process.

• Monitor daily census activity and develop strategies to support occupancy goals.

• Collaborate with the Marketing and Business Development teams to identify new referral opportunities.

• Maintain accurate admission records and ensure all required documentation is completed.

• Verify insurance coverage and coordinate with payers as needed.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and facility regulations.

• Participate in community outreach events and represent the facility professionally within the local healthcare market.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of admissions, business development, marketing, or case management experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Rehabilitation Center, Hospital, or other healthcare setting.

• Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and insurance authorization processes.

• Knowledge of the post-acute care continuum and discharge planning process.

• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

• Experience with electronic medical records and admissions software preferred.
