Job summary

Extended Care LLC is seeking a dynamic Admissions Director to coordinate all admissions and transfers to our facility while marketing our services in the surrounding referral communities.

You will oversee the complete admissions process, manage the referral network with hospitals and providers, conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families, and collaborate with the Business Office on daily census reconciliation to support census growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in nursing home or long-term care admissions and/or marketing.
• Knowledge of admission processes and payer sources (Medicare/Medicaid/private insurance).
• Strong verbal and written communication; proficient with computer systems and databases.
• Ability to work in a team with a positive, enthusiastic approach and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete admission process for new and returning residents.
• Manage the referral process and build relationships with hospitals, providers, and community partners.
• Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families.
• Communicate new admissions, discharges, and readmissions to the IDT.
• Meet and greet new residents and families, collecting required documentation.
• Collaborate with the Business Office on daily census reconciliation.
• Participate in morning and afternoon meetings to stay informed on census needs.

The Admissions Director plays a critical role in ensuring a seamless transition for new residents while driving census growth through strategic outreach and relationship-building.

Admissions Director Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in nursing home or long-term care admissions and/or marketing
• In-depth knowledge of the admission process and payer sources, including Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance, and Managed Care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in computer systems and databases
• Ability to work well in a team setting with a positive and enthusiastic approach to tasks
• Reliable and self-motivated with excellent organizational skills

As an Admissions Director, you will:

• Oversee the complete admission process for new and returning residents
• Manage the referral process and build relationships with hospitals, providers, and community partners
• Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families
• Communicate new admissions, discharges, and readmissions to the interdisciplinary team (IDT)
• Meet and greet new residents and family members, obtaining required documentation and signatures
• Collaborate with the Business Office on daily census reconciliation
• Participate in morning and afternoon meetings to stay informed on census and admissions needs
• Assist in bed management and room moves as needed
