Job summary

The University of Florida is seeking an Admissions Officer I to support processing and management of undergraduate, graduate, professional, certificate, online, and distance education applications through the Office of Admissions. You will review applications, determine residency for tuition, troubleshoot data across systems, and serve as a primary contact for applicants and academic departments.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Experience delivering high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with student information systems or CRM platforms; familiarity with Slate/PeopleSoft preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and process undergraduate, graduate, professional, certificate, online, and distance education applications.
• Evaluate applications and supporting credentials for completeness and accuracy.
• Determine residency classifications for tuition purposes.
• Maintain knowledge of admission requirements, degree programs, majors, and applicant types.
• Review and process departmental requests related to application updates.
• Prepare applications for admission decisions with independent judgment.
• Assist in cross-training admissions staff on procedures.
