Job summary

Tufts University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions is seeking an Admissions Data Analyst to lead data collection, analysis, and presentation strategies. You will oversee long-term projects, manage staff and student workers, and help create training materials for admissions professionals.

The role analyzes applicant and enrollment trends, reports KPIs for recruitment, yield, and the prospect funnel, and communicates findings to campus partners and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Several years of data analysis experience.
• Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated experience with and strong working knowledge of Slate or a similar CRM.
• Demonstrated experience creating and delivering data-driven reports and presentations.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to "tell a story" using data.
• Experience with statistical software, such as R, State, SPSS, or other tools.
• Demonstrated project management skills, preferably in a fast-paced, timeline-driven environment.
• Cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse populations.
• Comfort traveling both independently and as part of a group.

Responsibilities

• Analyze applicant and enrollment data to identify trends and opportunities, and to evaluate the effectiveness of office initiatives.
• Monitor and report on KPIs to inform strategic planning for recruitment, yield, and prospect funnel.
• Create and/or contribute to presentations, reports, and deliverables for campus stakeholders.
• Synthesize and communicate data, methods, conclusions, and recommendations in an effective and relevant manner.
• Liaise with campus partners (Office of Graduate Admissions, Office of Institutional Research, University Counsel, Student Services Technology Team) regarding data and project work.
• Liaise with external partners (College Board, Scoir, Common Application, Coalition for College).
• Create, facilitate, or contribute to office training initiatives for admissions officers and/or staff.
• Complete other projects and duties as assigned.
