Job summary

Lycoming College is hiring an Admissions Counselor / Assistant Director of Admissions to join our Enrollment Management team. This full-time role represents a unique opportunity to represent Lycoming College to prospective students and organizations, with travel, evenings, and some weekends required.

The title will be determined based on experience. Lycoming College emphasizes inclusive excellence and offers extensive benefits and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Recruitment, management, sales, and/or knowledge of higher education are required.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Well-developed presentation skills are required.
• Valid US Driver’s license with ability to pass insurance requirements; travel-heavy role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and executing a regional territory recruitment plan.
• Travel to represent Lycoming College at events and college fairs.
• Recruit students by engaging with students, parents, counselors and other external constituents.
• Assist with campus recruitment events including open houses and visitation days.
• Communicate details about academics, financial aid, and campus life to prospective students.
• Review admissions applications and evaluate credentials.
• Complete routine recruitment, projection, conversions, scheduling, travel and expense reports.
