Mississippi State University is seeking an Admissions Counselor I to recruit prospective first-year students within an assigned territory and to represent the university to students, parents, alumni, and school counselors.

The counselor will follow up with prospects, plan recruiting events with regional admissions leadership, visit high schools and college fairs, and assist with orientation and with publications from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

The counselor follows up with prospects, plans recruiting events with regional admissions leadership, and keeps current on academic programs across the schools and colleges. The role also assists with orientation and with publications from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

• Assist with the orientation program and admissions office publications.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in student development, counseling, public relations, marketing, or a related area.
• Reside in the assigned recruiting territory and travel extensively, with a valid driver’s license required.
