Job summary

The Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps Center recruiting team seeks an Admissions Counselor to engage with youth and partners, screen applicants, and guide candidates through enrollment.

You will coordinate outreach with schools, agencies and organizations, track applicants, and interview candidates to collect essential information. The role is full-time in Minnesota, offering a structured schedule on weekdays and a comprehensive benefits package including holidays, vacation, retirement, and health

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business or related field.
• Or an Associate’s degree with two years related experience and Minnesota driver’s license.
• One year experience working with youth, sales, marketing or counseling.

Job Description

Our Admissions Counselors recruit and screen potential students, ages 16-24, for enrollment in the Job Corps program. The Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps Center, operated by Education and Training Resources (ETR), provides education, training and employment services to at-risk young adults.

Main Duties

• Conduct outreach activities with agencies, organizations, schools and individuals
• Manage contacts and enter applicant tracking data
• Interview candidates to obtain pertinent information
• Maintain established monthly goals
• Arrange and conduct tours and pre-enrollment orientations.

Work Schedule

Full-time, primarily working weekdays during regular business hours

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications or related field OR Associate’s degree with two years related experience; one year experience working with youth, sales, marketing or counseling; and valid Minnesota driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Salary and Benefits

$43,888 per year plus bonus and benefits, including 12 paid holidays, paid vacation and sick time, 401(k) with match, and medical, dental and vision insurance
