Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage a recruiting territory.
• Travel for recruiting events in evenings and weekends as required (high schools, fairs, community colleges, special events).
• Coordinate inquiries and follow up for each student.
• Guide students through the enrollment process from initial contact to campus visits and final decisions.
• Assist with special recruiting projects and work with support staff.
• Participate in Enrollment Management meetings and complete weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Represent the admissions office at on-campus and off-campus events.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

We are looking for an organized, eager, and engaging Admissions Counselor. This is a twelve-month position with primary objective for recruiting targeted students to Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa. The counselor will assist in developing and implementing appropriate strategies to meet individual and organized recruiting goals. This includes working with prospective students and their families about their college choice, promoting the University, and assisting in all related campus events.

Job Duties

• Manage a recruiting territory
• Some recruiting travel along with evening and weekend work may be required

• Coordinate inquiries and initiate the appropriate follow up for each student
• Work with student from beginning to end of their enrollment process
  • Assist in answering any questions that the student may have
  • Conduct campus and virtual visits
  • Connect with faculty and staff that may be able to assist
  • Initiates follow up and communication with student via call, text, and email
• Assist with special recruiting projects
• Work closely with support staff
• Participate in Enrollment Management meetings
• Complete weekly and monthly progress reports
• Represent the admissions office in a professional manner at and off campus events
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
