Responsibilities

• Develop recruitment plans per semester and participate in team recruitment.
• Document weekly recruitment activity reports and student appointments.
• Engage with prospective students via phone, email, and mail to provide service.
• Promote the university to prospective students, parents, teachers, counselors, alumni and other groups.
• Collaborate with alumni to develop networks and referrals.
• Counsel prospective students and support enrollment retention.
• Support adherence to registration deadlines and enrollment goals.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Job Title

Recruiter/Admissions Counselor

Essential Job Functions

• Creates an individual recruitment plan (including recruitmentactivities, participation in events/conferences/fairs,communications with prospective students and networkingopportunities) for each semester and participates in a teamrecruitment plan
• Completes weekly activity reports to include documentation ofrecruitment/outreach activities and student appointments
• Establishes and adheres to registration deadlines and strivestoward institution-wide enrollment goals
• Utilizes phone, email and mail to communicate with prospectivestudents in a timely manner, providing superior studentservice
• Works with prospective students to garner completed applicationfiles prior to enrollment and efforts to increase retention
• Collaborates with alumni network(s) to develop newstudent/professional networks and garner student referrals
• Serves as a counselor to prospective students
• Promotes the university and its programs among prospectivestudents, parents, teachers, counselors, alumni and other groups,individuals, agencies and organizations that might be interestedand/or might be persuaded to have interest in the university bymaintaining current knowledge of the same
• Other related duties, as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree in Guidance and Counseling, or related fieldpreferred

Minimum Experience

Three (3) years’ experience in advising or counseling in highereducation
