Help Students Find Their Future

Greensboro College is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven professional to join our enrollment team as an Admissions Counselor.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting new people, building meaningful relationships, traveling, and helping students navigate one of the most important decisions of their lives. As an Admissions Counselor, you will serve as a primary representative of Greensboro College, guiding prospective students and families through the college search process while helping the College achieve its enrollment goals.

Whether you're an experienced admissions professional or someone with a background in sales, recruiting, customer service, marketing, athletics, or relationship management, we're looking for individuals who are motivated, coachable, and committed to personal and professional growth.

What You'll Do
Build Relationships That Matter
  • Serve as a trusted resource for prospective students and their families throughout the admissions process.
  • Develop strong relationships with high school counselors, community partners, coaches, and other influencers.
  • Communicate daily with students and families through phone calls, text messages, email, virtual meetings, and in-person conversations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and remain accessible to students and families as they navigate their college decision.
Recruit Future Students
  • Manage a recruitment territory and develop strategies to meet enrollment goals.
  • Consistent travel throughout assigned territories representing Greensboro College at high schools, college fairs, and community events.
  • Conduct admissions interviews, information sessions, and campus tours.
  • Review applications and assist students through each step of the enrollment process.
  • Help students understand academic opportunities, campus life, scholarships, financial aid, and the value of a Greensboro College education.
Partner with Athletic Programs
  • Work closely with athletic coaches to support the recruitment and enrollment of prospective student-athletes.
  • Assist in developing relationships with athletic recruits and their families.
  • Support enrollment initiatives that help student-athletes successfully transition from prospect to enrolled student.
Utilize Technology to Enhance Recruitment
  • Use Slate CRM to manage student communications, recruitment activities, and enrollment workflows.
  • Maintain accurate records and leverage data to strengthen recruitment strategies.
  • Utilize technology and communication tools to create meaningful connections with prospective students.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to travel extensively during recruitment seasons.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service to students and families.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience using Slate CRM or similar customer relationship management systems.
  • Former Tour Guide at a college/university.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience in admissions, enrollment management, sales, recruiting, customer service, marketing, athletics, or related fields.
  • Experience working with student-athletes, athletic programs, or coaches.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
