LifeSkills Connection, Inc. in Kentucky is hiring an Admissions Counselor to help young adults ages 16 to 24 connect with Job Corps, a free federal program offering career training, a high school diploma or GED, housing, and a pathway to a career.

This is a full-time, hybrid role with local travel. You will build relationships with schools and community organizations, guide applicants through eligibility, meet enrollment targets, and schedule center tours to set expectations for new students

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with related experience required.
• Experience in outreach, admissions, recruiting, or youth programs preferred.
• Job Corps experience is a big plus.

Admission Counselor
Help young adults in your community take the first step toward a real career.
LifeSkills Connection, Inc. is hiring an Admission Counselor in Kentucky. You'll connect young adults ages 16 to 24 with Job Corps, a free federal program that offers career training, a high school diploma or GED, housing, and a path to a career. Many of the young people you meet are looking for a fresh start, and you'll be the person who helps them take that first step. This is a full-time, hybrid position with local travel.

What You’ll Do

• Build relationships with schools, churches, youth programs, workforce centers, and community organizations that refer young people to Job Corps
• Meet with interested applicants and explain the program clearly and honestly
• Guide applicants through eligibility and the admissions process
• Follow up with every prospect within 24 hours so no one falls through the cracks
• Work toward monthly enrollment goals and track your outreach and progress
• Schedule center tours and help new students know what to expect

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or a related field; or an associate's degree in one of these fields plus two years of related experience
• Experience in outreach, admissions, recruiting, or youth programs is a plus; Job Corps experience is a big plus
• Strong communication skills and comfort with Microsoft Office
• Good organization and follow-through
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• A genuine belief in young adults and an easy way of connecting with people
